February 12, 2009 - ANHS—35   Capo Valley—53
Loren Mclean had a great game with 18 points, 2 assists, and 2 steals, but no other Wolverine could help out with more than 5 points in the loss to the Cougars.  The team will find out on Sunday if it is going to advance to the CIF playoffs as an at-large team.
 

February 10, 2009 - ANHS—52   San Clemente—54
The Wolverines lost on a Triton basket with 3.3 seconds left.  Loren Mclean led the Wolverines with 17 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals, and almost made a 3-point shot to win the game at the buzzer.  Cameron Gypsyn had a solid Senior Night with 12 points while trying to play with an injured ankle which kept him out of part of the 2 nd half.  Daniel Spitler added 10 points and Jon Kilson had a productive Senior Night with 8 points and 2 steals.  The 5 Wolverine seniors—Cameron Gypsyn, Justin Hui, Jon Kilson, Loren Mclean, and Chad Seymour were honored before playing their last regular-season home game.  The final regular season game for the Wolverines is this Thursday night at 7 pm against Capistrano Valley.
 

February 6, 2009 - ANHS—44  Tesoro—61

Daniel Spitler had 14 points and Loren Mclean and Brian Fisher each added 9 points, and Phillip Spitler had a season-high 8 points, but the Wolverines couldn't stop the league-leading Titans.  The team plays next on Tuesday, 2/10 vs. San Clemente at 7 pm.  It will be the final regular-season home game this year, and it is also Senior Night to honor 5 Wolverine seniors:  Jon Kilson, Loren Mclean, Justin Hui, Chad Seymour, and Cameron Gypsyn.
 

February 4, 2009 - ANHS—64   Dana Hills—68
The Wolverines were led by Loren Mclean with 17 points and 4 assists, with help from Daniel Spitler, who had 13 points and 3 steals.  The team tried hard, but could not quite finish a comeback attempt.  The next game for the Wolverines is on Friday at Tesoro at 7 pm.
 

January 23, 2009 - ANHS—45        Capo Valley—41
The Wolverines were led by sophomore Daniel Spitler with 14 points and 6 rebounds and he was supported by freshman Bryan Fisher with 12 points.  Senior Loren Mclean hit 2 free throws with 7.7 seconds left to give ANHS the lead for good.  The overall team defense shown by all the players contributed heavily to an outstanding victory.  The next game is at home against Mission Viejo on Friday, January 30 th at 7 pm.
 

January 21, 2009 - ANHS—49     San Clemente—53  (OT)     
The Wolverines were led by sophomore Daniel Spitler with 15 points.  He was supported by junior Dylan Yepiz with 11 points and 3 assists, and senior Loren Mclean with 10 points and 5 steals.  The team had a nine-point lead going into the 4 th quarter, but San Clemente tied the game with one second to go and then prevailed in overtime.  The next game for the Wolverines is on Friday (1/23) at home at 7 pm against Capistrano Valley.  
 

January 16, 2009 - ANHS—51    Tesoro—65
The Wolverines played very well for the first three quarters, but couldn't hold off Tesoro in the fourth quarter.  The team was led by Loren Mclain, who had an outstanding game with 13 points, 7 assists, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals.  He was supported by Cameron Gypsyn (10 points and 6 rebounds) and Dylan Yepiz (9 points).  The next game for the Wolverines is on Wednesday, 1/21 at San Clemente at 7 pm.
 

January 9, 2009 - ANHS—45    Mission Viejo—42
The Wolverines were led in scoring by Cameron Gypsyn with 9 points and 5 rebounds, Dylan Yepiz with 10 points and 2 steals, and Chad Seymour with 8 points and 6 rebounds.  They were helped by Daniel Spitler (6 points and 5 rebounds plus 1 very big steal) and Loren Mclain (6 points which included the go-ahead basket and 2 clinching free throws at the end of the game). The win included a great effort by everyone on the team on the defensive end of the court that really helped propel us to open our league season with a victory.
